Audrey Inspiration-A Classic Pearl Necklace with a Twist

At LeThrift we have the lovely Audrey Hepburn to look to daily for style inspiration.  It's almost as if she is watching over the store and every customer that comes in to help them find that special item. The painting was inspired by Audrey's iconic character in Breakfast at Tiffany's.  A classic movie to watch for great style inspiration from the clothes to the interiors, but not exactly a favorite.  Watch the movie for the fashion because that is the best thing about it.

Pearl necklaces will be forever classic and timeless. Pearls are heirloom pieces. Who wants a pearl necklace that looks exactly like everyone else's though?  I have nightmares about someone wearing the same thing as me.  Certainly I'm not the only one?!?  Part of the reason why I prefer to shop vintage and local designs is it helps to ease the fear of being someone's twin.  I adore classic pieces, but with a twist, a pop, or a sparkle.

A fabulous chunky, baroque pearl necklace made by a local artist.  This necklace sparkles with different sizes, textures, and colors of pearls and crystals.

A vintage faux pearl necklace mixed with black beads and metal chains.  All tie together with a delicate black bow in the back.

A vintage multi-strand faux pearl necklace accented with black and smoky grey quartz like stones.

This locally made necklace is a delicate blend of white baroque pearls and clear quartz.

Mixing and mingling of baroque pearls and black onyx beads in multiple layers this necklace is handcrafted by a Chicago artist.

Choose the piece that feels the best to you, the piece you don't want to put down, and can't stop thinking about. Jewelry shopping should never stressful. It's a treat.  Remember to have fun with your pearls.
